Tool Talks - ideas
This thread is open to discussion by all Artifactory members.
We'd like to foster more events where members share specific knowledge they have about designing and making things.
We've had a few of these in recent times (i.e. Kamil running welding tutorial sessions) and they're always a great time. People get the specific knowledge they're looking for, but it's also a perfect excuse for people to come and enjoy being part of our community. :)
This thread is about generating ideas for these events, which we're tentatively calling "tool talks".
Tool talks can be practical (hands on) or theoretical (presentation) or a combination of the 2.
A good tool talk:
Is about a specific skill or tool
Is short (2-4 hours)
Is relevant and useful to a decent number of our members
Can be hands on, or theoretical, or a combination thereof.
Some examples:
How to use a biscuit joiner
Building picture frames
How to design parts for easier 3D printing
Modelling simple parts in Fusion 360
Please post below:
Topics you want to know more about, which you would want to see a tool talk about.
Topics that you know about and would be willing to give a tool talk about. (Support is available!)
